Long and showy red and gold tubular flowers from March-June (may vary), on medium green foliage. Erect habit about 3' x 2' wide. It is a Cape Heath from South Africa. Therefore, only hardy to 20 degrees F. We grow them successfully in the greenhouses here in Western Washington with no heat. In the odd very cold spell, we take them into a more protected facility. Needs an acid soil mix. Prune well to keep a good shape.
