Pale greenish yellow globular flowers on medium green foliage that resembles fir needles.  Stiff habit about 4” x 12” wide.  Very rare alpine native from Canada to Washington State.  Hardy, but needs protection from the afternoon sun in summer.  If the roots get too hot, they die.  Need good drainage.  Can be a fussy plant which is typical of alpines.
