The flowers open lilac pink and darken to magenta February-May, deepening with age with red brown foliage. A new foliage color amongst the carneas again selected from the vast breeding program of Kurt Kramer using 'Myretoun Ruby' as one of the parents. The name is derived from attractive display of the buds against a winter sun. Habit is spreading 6” tall by 18” wide.  The buds are attractive when before bloom as they are colorful rather than the usual bleached white color.
